Before I knew the word “somatics,” my body was already teaching me how to listen.

This first began as a teenager in 2010. Then, as a professional dancer in 2016, I encountered the wide world of somatics as a discipline. From the beginning, these were more than just practices to me—they were a primary way of connecting with and trusting the wild creative force within me.

Turning toward my living body has helped me heal after injuries and refine what my dancing body could do. But it’s also been a sacred resource for meeting life's turning points. As a teenager, somatics helped me remember my spark and my place in the world. As a late-starting dance student, it offered a kind, effective way to shift patterns that would have otherwise kept me from having a career. In the city's hustle, it helped me deepen my bond with the wild within me. And in grief, it gave me a way to move what words could not.

Each time, somatic practice brought me into deeper intimacy with myself and my life. That's what I now offer to the people I work with: a way of meeting your body—and through your body, your life—that allows for transformation rooted in your innate belonging.

I continue to dedicate myself to my own embodied spiritual unfolding through sustained daily practice, allowing the approaches I’ve learned to weave together in response to what life is asking of me. I too am walking this path, wayfinding through life with my creative body as my guide.

I live, work, and wander through the wild on the ancestral lands of the Lisjan Ohlone people, here in Berkeley, California.

Training & Credentials

I am a Guild-Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner®. I finished my four-year training at the Institute for the Study of Somatic Education in San Francisco in 2024, where I studied with Julie Casson Rubin, Paul Rubin, Richard Corbeil, and Arlyn Zones.

I'm also a graduate of the Tamalpa Life/Art Process® Teacher Training Program (2021-2024), where I studied with Daria Halprin, Ken Otter, Rosario Sammartino,  Dohee Lee, and Natan Daskal.

My approach also draws on continued practice at the intersection of spirituality,  animism, ritual, and psychosomatic healing. This has included five years of training and one-on-one mentorship with Riyaz Motan in applying non-dual spiritual wisdom to psychosomatic healing. I am indescribably grateful for him and all he imparted. Since his passing, I have continued deepening into this work with ongoing immersions  from other teachers in his lineage.

Others have contributed to my approach as well, through continuing education, immersions, one-on-one work with practitioners, reading, and experiential research.
