Life’s Challenges aRE Invitations to Rewild

There’s another way to meet our life’s challenges. Rather than problems to be solved, we can welcome our challenges as thresholds to enter through—without knowing what’s on the other side.

Our willingness to not know opens us back up to the gorgeous mystery of our lives.
The wildness of our lives.

Here, we can stand at the edge of all we’ve come to know with open hands and humble hearts.
“What have I missed? What are you here to teach me?”

It is my experience that what we’ve missed is often more grace-filled, connected, and beautiful than we dared ask for.

And yet, standing at this edge, there are no guarantees. Safety is not assured. We may, naturally, be terrified, especially when we are alone and unequipped; maybe even enough to turn back to life-as-usual.

My wish for you is that you don’t turn back. Step into the mystery that calls your name. Learn to befriend this fertile darkness.

I offer you accompaniment as you dwell there, and ways to listen to the quiet yet essential voices that have been waiting to guide you. These voices speak through your sensing, feeling, dreaming body—your direct lived experience. We welcome them through movement, touch, play. Dance, poetry, art. Co-creation. Rest.

Bit by bit, we honor these guides, and the body of yours that houses them. You grow intimate with each-other, in your unique ways. You allow yourself to be changed by them. You feel a belonging to your life, even as it emerges fresh and unpredictable. Carefully-manicured beliefs wither away and become compost for native vines, clover, and redwood saplings. Dams break, your life force surges through.

In the unknown, you touch an unnameable knowing.
You rewild.
